"The only true voyage of discovery, the only fountain of Eternal Youth, would be not to visit strange lands but to possess other eyes, to behold the universe through the eyes of another, of a hundred others, to behold the hundred universes that each of them beholds, that each of them is."

Marcel Proust

That is how Dimora Upper City came about, from my love for travel that make us human beings citizens of the world. Travelling fills life with shapes and colours, the heart with emotions, the mind with new outlooks and my desire was to create a home from which all this could be experienced. The apartments, in which sixteenth-century frescos have been brought back to light, are located in a historic residence located in Bergamo Alta (the old part of the city surrounded by the Venetian Walls dating back to the 16th century and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO), inside the Borgo Canale quarter, famous as the birthplace of the renowned composer Gaetano Donizetti and for the funicular railway in operation since 1912 that climbs the slopes of the hill of S. Vigilio. The quarter, which maintains its rural character, boasts artisan shops and splendid views of the city that make it so typical, yet at the same time it represents an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
